Syracuse Area Health NorthCampus Clinic, Pharmacy opened in December

The Syracuse Area Health North Campus Clinic and Pharmacy opened on Monday, Dec. 6, 2021, on Highway 50. The updated facility replaces the healthcare system’s current Weeping Water Clinic and offers enhanced family medicine services, X-ray imaging and a retail pharmacy. The new clinic and pharmacy are located at 7512 Highway 50, Weeping Water, Nebraska; a location chosen for its accessibility and convenience.

NRD Legislative Conference Recognizes 50 Years of Natural Resources Policy

The two-day NRD Legiislative Conference brings together Natural Resources Districts (NRDs), elected officials and public-private partners integrally involved in conservation, technology and policymaking. The conference also provides attendees an opportunity to learn how Nebraska’s NRDs work with ag producers, state and federal agencies, and members of the public to protect Nebraska’s natural resources.

S-Club announces new date for HOF event

A re-schedule date has been announced for the induction of the 4th class into the Syracuse S-Club Athletic Hall of Fame. The induction was to be conducted earlier in January but was postponed due to weather.

Rocket girls’ battle past three foes

As the lopsided score of 57-26 over Plattsmouth (2- 11) on Tuesday, January 18, wouldn’t show, the Rockets took advantage of some different opportunities but missed out on others. Of course, their full-court press eluded the Blue Devils into turnovers for the majority of the game, but the Rockets often failed to make quick points in the paint off of turnovers. Instead, the ladies started the first three quarters with three-point baskets. In order, sophomore Delainey Cast, senior Lindsey Moss, and junior Kaylee Bures. In all, the Rockets had 6 three-point baskets, with Bures leading with 3 and Moss following with 2.

Gun rights bill up for debate

On Thursday, January 20th, the Judiciary Committee heard arguments for Senator Tom Brewer’s LB 773, a bill that would adopt a constitutional carry law in Nebraska. It is absolutely vital to pass this legislation to protect our right to bear arms in Nebraska.

Too Late?

Athletic ability passed me by when those talents were being handed out, and I haven’t even missed it. Quite frankly, any real interest in athletics also is lacking in my life.
