We’re on the cusp of a historic moment in America. After 49 years, the Supreme Court is set to revisit the infamous Roe v. Wade decision that legalized abortion in 1973. This year, they have an opportunity to undo one of the worst decisions ever made by our nation’s highest court.

Family members and friends of Rose T. Garey were on hand Saturday for a special ceremony at the Otoe County Museum of Memories in Syracuse as the herb garden at the museum was officially named the Rose T. Garey Herb Garden.
The weather did not stop the pin tournament and did not deter the Rocket wrestlers from gaining a firstplace finish at the home event on Monday, Jan. 17. The name of the game in a pin tournament is to gain as many wins by pin as possible. The Rockets had a firstplace total of 43, 10 more than second place Ashland-Greenwood.
I recently read an article in the Lincoln Journal Star that tells an all-too-familiar story. In 2012, Dr. Jeff Fraser, a family practice doctor from Lincoln, was diagnosed with prostate cancer. After his third treatment, another doctor prescribed him hydrocodone for back pain caused by the cancer. “That’s when my brain got addicted,” Dr. Fraser said.
