The saying goes “time heals all wounds”, but what happens when a wound does not heal? Wounds go through many stages while healing and complications at any step can prolong the process. The first step is stopping the bleeding.

Sharing Memories

Just a couple of school years back, Nebraska City High School moved its athletics and activities from the Eastern Midlands Conference to the Trailblazer Conference. Other teams in the Trailblazer are Platteview, Plattsmouth, Beatrice, Ralston and Wahoo. That’s a total of six teams.

Dunbar, Burr won Otoe County tourneys

The classy Dunbar quintet posted its 17th victory of the season and second tournament win Friday night in speeding past Palmyra 49-24 to cop the Otoe County Basketball Tournament Crown before a jammed hall at the Syracuse High School. Bremer had 21 to lead Dunbar while Klaasmeyer had 11.

Palmyra boys’ team won 1952 district title

March 6, 1952 -- The Palmyra Panthers won a trip to the state basketball tournament in Lincoln March 12-15 by tripping the Talmage Bulldogs, 44-42, in the Class D regional playoff on the Peru floor. Coach Bernard Davis’ lads won 23 and lost thee during the season in winning the MUDECAS Class A title and coming behind Syracuse in the Otoe county tournament.

2022 Nebraska Fish Art Contest now accpeting entries

Students in kindergarten through 12th grade can discover the outdoors by participating in the third annual Nebraska Fish Art Contest. This international art and writing competition gives young people the opportunity to highlight their artistic talents while learning about fish, fishing and aquatic conservation.
