Recently, President Joe Biden delivered one of the most divisive addresses to the nation I’ve seen in my lifetime. Our country is headed in the wrong direction, and those who oppose the Biden administration’s radical policies do so because of our desire to leave a better, more prosperous America for future generations.
The Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca Rocket softball team competed in five games last week with clashes against Douglas County West, Ashland-Greenwood, Yutan-Mead, Cass County Central and Falls City. Counting results from those games, the team has a record of 4-12.

The Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca middle school football team fell to Raymond Central in the A game 19-0 and, in the B game, the Rockets fell 12-8 with the touchdown being scored by Will Simon and the 2 point conversion by Wyatt Higgins. The Rockets were scheduled travel to Lincoln Lutheran on Tuesday, Sept. 13.

CDR Robert G. Kramer, USN (ret) Robert “Bob” Kramer passed away peacefully on August 6, 2022. Bom October 24, 1934 to Henry and Alta Kramer in Syracuse, Nebraska, he was a graduate of Syracuse High School and Peru State College.
Irene F. Kuenning, 104 of Syracuse, passed away on September 13, 2022, at the Syracuse Hospital. She was bom on August 11, 1918, to William & Mary (Kastens) Genthe at their home northwest of Syracuse.
The Nebraska Hall of Fame Commission today selected Malcolm Little, also known as Malcolm X and El Hajj Malik El Shabazz, as the next member of the Nebraska Hall of Fame. Ron Hull, chair of the Nebraska Hall of Fame Committee said that Malcolm X’s impact is still felt today.
