Rockets wrap volleyball after clash with Fairbury

Once subdistricts start, players know that any game could be their last for the season or the last of their high school career. The stakes are high. Everyone works 110% to bring their A-game. And Tuesday night was no exception. The score went back and forth between the Syracuse Rockets and Fairbury Jeffs at the Syracuse Middle School in subdistrict finals. A single possession could determine the outcome.

NDA Announces 2022-2023 NAYC members

One way the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) supports the next generation of ag leaders is through the Nebraska Agricultural Youth Council (NAYC), a group of college students working together to share their passion and knowledge about agriculture with young people across the state. NDA is proud to sponsor NAYC and announce the 2022-2023 Council members.

Nebraska is one of the nation’s top agricultural states. Our farmers and ranchers have products that reach every corner of the country, as well as foreign markets around the world. In 2020, Nebraska exported $2.33 billion worth of soybeans/ soybean products and $1.2 billion worth of corn. In 2021, Nebraska exported $1.81 billion worth of beef and $325.8 million worth of pork.

Syracuse Area Health Auxiliary meeting minutes

The Syracuse Area Health Auxiliary held their quarterly meeting October 11, 2022, at Syracuse Area Health. Prior to the meeting, Mike Harvey, CEO gave an update to the auxiliary members. Mike stated that SAH has hired a cardiac ultrasound tech, Paula Pebley, and added the equipment needed to provide this service to our patients. Dr. Keller has recently joined the general surgery group that comes to SAH and will be coming in place of Dr. Olberding. Jill Ford, VP of Marketing, remined everyone of the drive-thru breakfast for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
