Three area youth placed at the Sneak A Peek Preview cattle show held at the Kimmel Ag Center in Syracuse earlier this month. In Ring A Market Animal, Annalynn Beach, Palmyra, placed fifth overall with her Champion Maintainer Steer.

U.S. Senator Ben Sasse, a member of the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, released the following statement after the House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Protecting American Intellectual Property Act. Sasse (R-NE) worked with Senator Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) to introduce the legislation. Earlier this week, the legislation passed the Senate. It now heads to the President’s desk.

Rocket boys get early start, finish strong at NC

With the girls’ game canceled due to illness on the Nebraska City team, the boys got an early start on Dec. 13 in the Pioneer gym. And the evening started out with Syracuse winning the tipoff but quickly turning it over. Nebraska City turned it over as well. And that set up Syracuse with the first bucket at 6:55 by senior Jase Voorhees down low.
