Beverly Schroeder, 92, of Syracuse, formerly of Cook, passed away on April 16, 2019. She was born on Sept. 4, 1926, to Walter H. & Rose M. (Kienker) Damme on their farm near Cook.
Bev married Allen W. Schroeder on Aug. 17, 1946, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Cook. She taught at country schools and later worked as a teacher’s aide at Nemaha Valley.
Bev enjoyed oil painting, quilting and playing the piano and organ.
She is survived by her children Craig and Marcia Schroeder, Doyle and Joan Schroeder, Lavonne and Ronald Niedermeyer, all of Talmage; six grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; sister: Jackie Hubbs of  Van Buren, Ark., and brother-in-law: Raymond Schroeder of Syracuse.
Pallbearers will be Michael Niedermeyer, Patrick Schroeder,  Michael Moss, Keith McWilliams, Mark Belau and Cory Schroeder.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Tracy McWilliams, Toni Niedermeyer, Emily Belau, Tiffany Moss, Kari Schroeder, Kelsie Schroeder,  Tirsa and Erik Swenson, Derek and Catie Niedermeyer, Dillon and Paige Niedermeyer, Mariah and Alex Leyva, Dustin and Madison Niedermeyer, Mitchell McWilliams,  Brennan, Makenna and Jennsyn Schroeder,  Carter and Quinn Belau, Emma and Max Moss, Cade Schroeder, Jase and Kade Swenson, Ansley and Adelynn Niedermeyer.
Funeral services was to be held on Tuesday, April 23, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Church (McWilliams) in rural Talmage. Burial was to follow in St. John’s Evangelical Church Cemetery.
Visitation was to be held on Monday, April 22, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home in Syracuse.
Memorials are suggested to the St. John’s Evangelical Church (McWilliams), Talmage Fire & Rescue Dept. or Cook Fire & Rescue Dept.
