Ruth A. Gubser, 71 Lincoln, Neb., formerly Hamburg, passed away Jan. 19.
Ruth Ann (Carlock) Gubser was born on Oct. 16, 1946, in rural Albany, Mo.; the daughter of Marion Jean (Stevens) Carlock.  
She attended and graduated from Hamburg High School with the class of 1964.  
She then attended and graduated from Stewart School of Hairstyling in Council Bluffs.
She married Robert Lee Gubser on June 3, 1967, at First Baptist Church in Hamburg.
While still in high school, Ruth worked at Stoner Drug in Hamburg at the soda fountain.  
After her graduation from Stewart School of Hairstyling, she worked at Stylette Beauty Salon in Hamburg with Marvin Oakes and later at Carl’s Beauty Shop in Hamburg with Carl Brown.
Most recently, she worked alongside her husband as the bookkeeper at H&S Auto Service in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband Robert Gubser of Lincoln; sons:  Kelly Gubser and wife Amy of Lincoln and Troy Gubser and wife Stephanie of Elmwood; grandchildren:  Skyler, Dusty, Gavin, Harrison, Adison and Tobias; siblings:  Jerry Carlock and wife Terry of Oak Hill, Fla.; June Hardy and Charlie Carlock both of Sidney, and Stanley Carlock of Lincoln; brothers and sisters-in-law:  Rev. James Gubser and wife Dorothy of Hamilton, Mo.; and Cynthia Shelton and husband Eugene of Farragut; numerous nieces and nephews, other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother Jean Carlock, a sister-in-law, Celia Gubser, and her father and mother-in-law:  Robert and Mona Lee Gubser.
Funeral Services were to be Tuesday (1/23) at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hamburg with Pastor Brett Yohn officiating. Burial was to follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery southeast of Hamburg.
The family was to greet friends from 1 p.m. until service time Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Hamburg.
A memorial fund is being established by the family in her memory.
