The Nemaha Natural Resources District Board of Directors met on Thursday, July 10, 2025.
Discussion took place regarding the revisions to the Groundwater Quantity Management Rules & Regulations; no action was taken. It is anticipated that a required public hearing regarding the reason for the current stay on new well permits will take place in August.
A five-year mowing contract with Jeff & Trevor McClintock for NRD Recreation Areas and Office was approved. The new contract will begin next spring.
The addendum to the OPPD Trailhead lease agreement was approved for a total of $125 for a 25-year period. The agreement applies to the new, relocated trailhead location at the north end of the Steamboat Trace.
The FY26 budget was reviewed. A 1% increase was approved for the restricted fund allowance.
The next meeting of the Nemaha NRD board of directors will be Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 7 p.m.
