The 2025 Downtown Summer Movie Series continues on Saturday, June 21, with “Sonic the Hedgehog.” The free series features family-friendly movies shown outdoors in the Sunken Parking Lot on Central Avenue Saturday nights at dusk in the summertime.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs or blankets to the Downtown Summer Movie Series. Snacks are provided for a small fee. Activities organized by weekly sponsors typically start at 8:30 p.m.

The series continues on Saturday nights through July 26 with the exception of Saturday, July 5, which is the annual Treestock Festival in Steinhart Park.

The Downtown Summer Movie Series is sponsored by United Way of Nebraska City.
