Three wins between June 4 and 9 raised the Syracuse American Legion Juniors baseball record to 6-2.
The Rockets posted four-run innings in the second and third frame of a 10-2 win over Auburn on June 4. Peyton DeMello had three hits including a double and Max Cary also had three hits to lead an 11-hit offensive. Brogan Lafollette had two hits. Players with a single were Braxton Kelch, Ethan Searcy and Mason Lintz.
The winning pitcher was Mason Lintz. He worked five innings, struck out six, walked none and allowed two runs, one earned, on four hits. Derek Hampton pitched an inning, struck out one, walked one and did not allow a run or a hit.
Peyton DeMello had two hits and Brogan Lafollette had one in a 5-2 loss to Plattsmouth on June 6. Derek Hampton pitched three innings, struck out three, walked three and allowed five earned runs on five hits. Phillip Armknecht pitched three innings, struck out one, walked none and allowed no runs on two hits.
Five runs in the sixth inning helped the Rockets finish an 11-2 win over Louisville/Weeping Water on Sunday, June 8. Bryson Jones had a double. Players with singles were Mason Lintz, Derek Hampton, Brogan Lafollette, Max Cary, Braxton Kelch and Phillip Armknecht. Braxton Kelch pitched four innings, struck out two, walked two and allowed an earned run on one hit. Brogan Lafollette pitched two innings, struck out four, walked none and allowed one unearned run on two hits.
Braxton Kelch had a walk-off single in the eighth inning as Peyton DeMello crossed the plate and gave the Rockets a 5-4 win over Dorhout Retirement Services on Monday, June 9. DeMello, Kelch and Jaxen Walters all had hits in the win. Mason Lintz pitched six innings, struck out seven, walked three and allowed four unearned runs on five hits. Peyton DeMello pitched two innings, struck out one and did not allow a walk, a run or a hit.

The Rockets ended up with 11 hits and just two runs in a June 1 loss. Tyler Sears had a double and a single. Peyton DeMello and Gavin Kelch had two hits each. Elliot Harden, Avery Liesemeyer, Mason Jording, Hunter Marrs and Kyle Holz had a hit each. Collin Oelke pitched 3.2 innings, struck out three, walked seven, and allowed four runs, two earned, on three hits. Mason Lintz pitched 2.1 innings and allowed one unearned run on two hits.
Auburn 3, Rockets 2
Peyton Demello had a single and a double and Kyle Holz had a double as the Rockets out-hit Auburn 5-2 in a one-run loss on June 4. Elliot Harden and Mason Lintz also had hits. Tyler Sears pitched six innings, struck out eight, walked three and allowed two unearned runs on one hit. Elliot Harden pitched 1.1 innings, struck out one, walked none and allowed no runs on one hit.
Plattsmouth 8, Rockets 6
Gavin Kelch hit a double while Colton Sprague and Peyton DeMello had singles in a June 6 loss to Plattsmouth. Elliot Harden pitched five innings, struck out four, walked one and allowed six runs, four earned, on eight hits. Collin Oelke pitched 1.2 innings, struck out two, walked one and allowed two earned runs on four hits. Hunter Marrs pitched one out.
Louisville/Weeping Water 16, Rockets 4
Avery Liesemeyer had a double, Colton Sprague had two hits and Peyton DeMello and Avery Liesemeyer pitched in with singles in a loss on June 8.
Collin Oelke pitched an inning, struck out three, walked four and allowed three runs, two earned, on two hits. Mason Jording pitched two innings, struck out two, walked three and allowed three earned runs on one hit. Hunter Marrs pitched, walked one, and allowed four earned runs on three hits. Avery Liesemeyer pitched, walked two, and allowed three earned runs on one hit. Kyle Cavanaugh pitched an inning, walked two, and allowed three earned runs on three hits.
