Adventures in the Arts Camp recently concluded at the Syracuse Public Library. The camp hosted 45 youth ages 6-14 years old.

For three consecutive Tuesdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon, four teachers and six adults led campers through different art mediums.

Of the many projects, youth screen printed tshirts, made pinch pots out of clay, made jelly prints, adventure maps, and scrapbook pages.

A collaborative piece of art was made from paint filled balloons on an 11’ x 2’ canvas area and will be displayed in the library.

Syracuse Librarian, Melissa Juilfs had been tossing around the idea for a while and was further inspired when she met Rhonda Earith at the library.

Julifs said the campers enjoyed being creative without structure. The camp was paid for in part by the Syracuse Library Foundation.
