Frank A. Schulze Jr., 84 of Unadilla, passed away on Wednesday, May 4 at Bryan East Hospital in Lincoln. He was born on March 29, 1938, to Frank & Milly (Davis) Schulze at home near Unadilla and graduated from Unadilla High School in 1956. On November 21, 1962, he married Joyce Johnson at the Hope Lutheran Church in Burr.
Frank worked at American Stores, Weavers Potato Chips, ADM and then back to Weavers before he retired. While he worked in Lincoln, he farmed near Unadilla, which was his true love. Frank was a member of the Southeast Neb. Antique Tractor Pullers and Minneapolis Moline Collectors Club. His faith was very important to him, and he served as a Luther League sponsor for many years, making many memories and helping the youth in their faith journey. He enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years and watching Classic Tractor Fever and Trains & Locomotives on RFD as he got older. Frank also enjoyed Royals baseball and any of the Nebraska sports.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Schulze of Unadilla; son Corey Schulze of Unadilla & significant other Sharon Demaree; brother-in-law Merlin Lange of Palmyra; special friend Randi Hale of Norfolk; also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, infant sister and sister Velva Lange.
Memorial services will be held on Monday, May 9 at 11 a.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church in Syracuse. The service will be livestreamed on the Luther Memorial Church, NE YouTube page. Burial will follow at the Unadilla cemetery. A gathering to celebrate Frank’s life will be held at the Duncan Building in Unadilla starting at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8 from 9 a.m.
