John David (JD) Albers, Casa Grande, AZ went to his ultimate heaven of a cattle ranch next to a beach with tractors and cold beer on February 28, 2022. He was born March 26, 1963 to John W and Betty Albers of Avoca, NE. John robbed the cradle on November 11, 1989 and married Tammy Zenisek of Eagle and to no surprise they went deer hunting on their honeymoon. John and Tammy had two offspring, Danielle of Lincoln, NE and Brandon of Sturgis, SD.
John grew up and farmed the home place near Avoca, NE and attended high school in Elmwood. He then tried his hand at trucking and eventually owned his own trucking company, Albers Trucking. He was a self taught mechanic and worked for Bruns Construction in Syracuse and Epp trucking in Waverly. He eventually changed careers and became a journeyman electrician and a member of the IBEW Local Union in Lincoln.
He enjoyed camping and boating with friends and family. He loved hunting and fishing and all things guns. He was a lifetime member of the American Trapshooters Association and took great pride in teaching and coaching his kids who excelled at their high school trapshooting meets. He had a passion for all things antique and loved to hunt down and repair antique tractors. John was a member of the Southeast Nebraska Tractor Pullers Association of Syracuse, NE. Many summer weekends were spent in competition tractor pulling and throwing weights with his friends for the pulls.
