The cost of a United States Postal Service first class stamp is increasing one cent (to 45 cents) effective Jan. 22. Forever stamps purchased at current rates can be used after the rate changes.

 

Postcards will increase 3 cents to 32 cents. Letters to Canada or Mexico will increase 5 cents to 85 cents. Letters to other international destinations will increase 7 cents to $1.05.

 

Prices for other mailing services will also increase, as will shipping services. The overall price change for shipping services is 4.6 percent with priority mail increasing 3.1 percent on average and express mail 3.4 percent on average.
