Nebraska City, Neb. -

The Nebraska City football team dropped its first game of the 2009 season in a 70-0 decision to Omaha Skutt, while Lourdes won its opener at Louisville, 62-14.

Skutt, rated as the No. 2 team in Class B by the Omaha World Herald, jumped to a 39-0 lead after one quarter and cruised to victory.

Lourdes, which began its second season of 11-man football on Friday, jumped to a 33-0 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
