The Syracuse American Legion Seniors wrapped their season with losses to Falls City and Crete at the area tourney on the Syracuse Legion ball field.
After topping the Rockets, Falls City advanced to Tuesday’s championship game.
Crete battled its way through the loser’s bracket before losing to Falls City, ending its bid to reach the title game.
Syracuse competed well in both.
Falls City took the lead late in a 6-4 decision.
Adam Vogt had a double, two runs and two RBI to lead the Rockets.
Bryan Morrissey had two hits, one of them a double, and also had an RBI.; Nate Stilmock, Austin Graham, Tyler Schwindt and Mitch Goering all had hits. Schwindt and Goering also scored one run.
Nate Stilmock pitched in the loss.
Crete pulled away late in the game to score a four-run win, 7-3.
Adam Vogt and Alex Hinkley pitched the loss for the Rockets.
Bryan Morrissey had two hits and a run.
Players with one hit were Alex Hinkley, Nate Stilmock, Austin Graham, Brandon Loecker and Tyler Schwindt. Loecker had two RBI, while Graham had a run scored and RBI.
Morrissey and Stilmock each scored once.
