The Rocket golf team are headed to state after placing third in district action that was held in Nebraska City, where Grant Hallstrom shot a team low, 81, on Monday, May, 14 at Nebraska City.
“We are so excited for the team qualifying for state as a team,” Coach Sallie Agena said. “We are so proud of this fine group of young men who have battled all year to meet their goal of taking the team to state. When we found out we were moved up to Class B the boys knew they would have to work hard to make this happen. They put in the time needed and it paid off.”
Hallstrom led the way for the Rockets by carding an 81 and a tenth place finish.
Pierce Agena and Brendon Lyon tied for 13th as both players carded an 83.
Josh Fishpaw ended his day with a 99 which helped put the Rockets in the third place slot, and Kobe Buller finished with a 103.
S-D-A will compete at state on May, 22 and 23 at the Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus, NE.
