After trailing by five at halftime, the Peru State men's basketball team responded with a strong second half as they won 90-83 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, over Mount Mercy.
 
This was the final regular-season game for both teams as the Bobcats improved to 18-12 on the season and more importantly 12-7 in the Heart of America Athletic Conference (Heart) North Division. The win secured the third seed in the North for Peru State and fourth seed overall in the conference as Heart begins conference play on Monday. The Mustangs finished in the middle of the conference with a 14-15 overall record and 9-10 in the Heart North.
 
In the post-season, Peru State will host Avila Monday night at 7 p.m. in the Al Wheeler Activity Center.
