The district final has been set for the Rockets as they took down Louisville 60-46 in the subdistrict championship behind Wil McCoy's 20 point night on Friday, Feb. 23, and are now ready to take on Auburn in the district championship.

The Rockets are now on a five game winning streak after they avenged an earlier one point loss to Louisville in early January.  In this contest, S-D-A had a three point lead heading into the fourth quarter and that's where the Rockets took over the game and outscored the Lions 19-8.

Wil McCoy who was out the first round of subdistricts against Ashland-Greenwood with a foot injury, got his chance and responded in a big way by leading the Rockets in scoring by dropping 20 points.  Ben Nannen had a double-double night with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

S-D-A will face Auburn who won its subdistrict championship against Falls City 33-24.  On Feb. 6, the Bulldogs defeated the Rockets 65-62.  Auburn will come into this contest winning five of their last six games. Their only loss in those six games was to Louisville. Both the Rockets and the Bulldogs are 16-9 on the year and will meet up in Nebraska City on Monday, Feb. 26 at the Lourdes Central Catholic High School for the district championship at 7 pm.
