Max Hughes picked up his 150th career win and the Rockets had seven wrestlers place in the top eight at the High Plains Invite on Friday and Saturday Jan. 5 and 6.
As a team, the Rockets finished sixth with 114 points.
Hughes and Caleb Lefferdink finished first.  Other Rockets that placed were;  Zach Beers,  third; Lane Bridgmon, fourth; Nate Snyder seventh; Stephen Hensley and Spencer Bridgmon, placed eighth.  
Hughes was the tournaments Outstanding Wrestler.  Hughes also earned the most pin falls in the least amount of time for the tournament.

Bennington Dual
 S-D-A wrestling hosted Bennington as they lost the meet 50-30, but picked up five individual wins on Tuesday, Jan. 2 at the Syracuse High School.
Spencer Bridgmon won by pin fall over Jacob Larsen, :27; Zachary Beers won by fall over Colby Puck, 1:27; Max Hughes won by pin fall over Joe Wells, :12.  Caleb Lefferdink and Lane Bridgmon won by forfeit.

The Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca wrestling team will return to action  for its annual event, the Pin Tournament on Friday at Syracuse.
