Week two of the high school football season kicks off on Friday with local teams in action.

Beatrice vs. Nebraska City.
Nebraska City will look to rebound at home,  after a season-opening loss at Roncalli, where the Pioneers, with new head coach Dan Hempel, were defeated 57-22.
Nebraska City will look to slow down the Orangemen, who won last week against Ralston 35-6.

Fairbury vs. S-D-A Rockets
Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca was on the road in week one in Omaha, losing to Boys Town 39-7.
S-D-A will look to get things rolling offensively as they had a total of 112 yards against the Cowboys.
Fairbury took out David City 61-10 in the first week of play.
“Fairbury is a really good team. They have size strength and speed.” said head coach Rick Nordhues said.

Lourdes Knights vs. Sterling
Nebraska City Lourdes football had a rough start to its season, losing to Falls City Sacred Heart at home 50-0.
Lourdes will travel to Sterling where both teams are looking to pick up their first win of the season.

Sidney vs West Harrison
Sidney football got off to a great start in its season debut by defeating Bedford High School 53-22.
Sidney will have the home field advantage against West Harrison who comes into this game 0-1 after losing to Woodbine 70-21.
