Sixty points worth of gold medal victories powered the Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca girls’ track and field team to a second place finish at the Ashland Invite.
Lauren Meyer finished first in the 100 and 200 meter dashes on the track, then added first place medals in the long and triple jump. Meredith Clark took first place in both the shot and discus.
All told, the Rockets posted 111 team points, just five behind meet champion Platteview. Gretna was third with a score of 78. There were eight teams at the meet.
