George J. Teixeira, 71, of Naples, Fla., died July 23, 2010. He was born Jan. 9, 1939 in Fall River, Mass., to Manuel and Imelda Teixeira.
He is survived by wife Gail of Naples; children George and Loretta Teixeira II of Syracuse, Ricky and Cindy Teixeira of Roy, Wash., Tina and Alan Rego of Fall River, Debra Teixeira-Erickson of Fall River, Robert Herrick and Bonnie Herrick of Naples; 12 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brothers Roger and wife Judy of Smithfield, R.I., Henry and Margaret of Somerset, Mass., Joseph and Martha of Tiverton, R.I.; sisters Dolores and husband Raymond Kocor of East Hartford, Conn., Evelyn and Raymond Ferreira of Tiverton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his wife Irene (Saucier).
He served in the Air Force from 1956-60 and retired from Shaw Arrow Industries in 2007.
Funeral services were held in Napels on July 26. A graveside service will be held at a later time in Fall River, Mass.
