    Dorothy Mary Splitt, 87, of Hastings died at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital in Hastings on Feb. 18, 2010. She was born Jan. 11, 1923 in Otoe to Elmer and Hazel (McClane) Horner. She married William Splitt on May 3, 1941 in Rock Port, Mo.
   She is survived by her sons Dwight Splitt and wife Marlene of Hastings and Steven Splitt and wife Judy of North Platte; daughter Sharon Buman and husband Ron of Clearwater, Fla.; sisters Veda Bennett of Nebraska City and Thelma Schroeder of Cortland; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
   She was preceded by her  husband on Sept. 19, 1983, brother Floyd Horner and sister Bertha Morton.
   She was a homemaker and member of United Methodist Church, Nebraska City American Legion Auxiliary, and 25 plus year member of the Murray Homemakers Extension Club.
   Funeral service was Feb. 22 at at Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home in Plattsmouth with Rev. Larry Biederman officiating.
   Burial was at Lewiston Cemetery in rural Murray.
   Fusselman-Wymore Funeral Home in Plattsmouth was in charge of arrangements.
