Winona Edith Burrill, 89, Lincoln, formerly Murdock, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Tabitha Health Care Services, Lincoln. She was born Jan. 19, 1920, near Winston, Mo., daughter of Charley and Nettie (Smith) Downs. She married Orlin Burrill Aug. 4, 1936, at Union.
    The Burrills farmed in the Murdock and Weeping Water areas. She loved family and friends. Her talents were baking and dried floral arrangements.
    Surviving are a daughter, Carole and husband Jim Gifford, Lincoln; daughter-in-law, Kathleen, Tillamook, Ore.; grandchildren and spouses, Michelle and Jim Erixson, Alliance; Sean Gifford, Lincoln; Scott Burrill, Portland, Ore.; Kay Linn and Ron Haymond, Tillamook, Ore.; and Kyle and Trish, Boise, Idaho; nine great-grandchildren; nieces, Eleanor Irons, Weeping Water; Ellen Singleton, Seward and Helen Huls, Beatrice.
    She was preceded by her parents; husband; son, Gaylon; sister, Twila Lindsey and a brother, Wilbur Downs.
    Memorial service was Thursday, Jan. 21, at the Tabitha Chapel, Lincoln. Private family interment was at the Elmwood Cemetery.
