William Lewis "Billy" Holscher, 75, of Lincoln, formerly of Unadilla, died at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Lincoln on July 17, 2010. He was born Sept. 22, 1934 at Burr to William A. and Elizabeth (Callaway) Holscher. On Sept. 23, 1978 he married Gloria Rousseau at Lincoln.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria, of Lincoln; children Kim Martacho and Danny of Unadilla, Candy Jacobsen and Steve of Lincoln, Butch Holscher and Cheri of Nebraska City, Robin Berner and Brad of Avoca, Terry Rousseau and Carla of Lincoln, and Brad Rousseau of LA; grandchildren Dominic Martacho and Laura of Syracuse, Grenee Martacho of Phoenix, Ariz., Brandon Berner and Becca of Avoca, Chantelle Schroeder and Aaron of Lincoln, Aaron Holscher and Abbie of Watertown, S.D., Jodi Gillespie and Garry of Syracuse, Logan Jacobsen of Lincoln, and Benjamin Rousseau, Adam Rousseau, Sarah Rousseau, Alex Rousseau, Austin Rousseau, Audrey Rousseau, Ayden Rousseau, Anna Rousseau, all of Lincoln; great grandchildren Connor Martacho, Hadyn Berner, Shaley Stephenson, Ashlyn Miller and Colton Gillespie; sister Jean Lucas and Marvin of Unadilla; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Maxine Schwahn of Omaha, Deatta and Mitch Chapel of Spearfish, S.D., Darryl and Lorraine Rousseau of Siston, S.D., Gary and Tootie Rousseau of Eagle Butte, S.D., and Kay Koch of Lincoln; and many nieces, nephews and many adopted family.
He was preceded by his parents, sister Velma Kastens, mother-in-law Dorothy Rousseau, and brother-in-law Wayne Thompson.
He graduated from Unadilla High School. He was a trucker and operated Holscher Bro's trucking for many years. He was a member of East Lincoln Christian Church.
Funeral services are Thursday, July 22, at 10:30 a.m. at Unadilla Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Rebecca Brown and Rev. Andy DeGolyer officiating.
Pallbearers will be Dominic Martacho, Brando Berner, Aaron Holscher, Logan Jacobsen, Alex Rousseau and Benjamin Rousseau. Honorary pallbearers are Grenee Martacho, Chantelle Schroeder, Jodi Gillespie,
Adam Rousseau, Sarah Rousseau, Austin Rousseau, Audrey Rousseau, Ayden Rousseau, Anna Rousseau, Connor Martacho, Hadyn Berner, Shaley Stephenson, Ashlyn Miller and Colton Gillespie.
Organist is Rose Marie Brandt.
Visitation is Tuesday, July 20, at East Lincoln Christ Church, 7001 Edenton Road, Lincoln, from 6-8 p.m. with the family greeting friends, and Wednesday, July 21, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
