   Dorothy Eis, 83, Winfield, Kan., died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2010. She was born Jan. 31, 1926, at Winfield, daughter of Vivian and Viola King. She married Raymond Eis Feb. 27, 1952.
    Eis taught school in Wichita, was an avid bowler and loved sewing.
    Surviving are three sons, Steven, Hillsboro, Kan.; John and wife Tamen, Arkansas City, Kan.; and Dan, Winfield, Kan.; three daughters, Nancy Eis, Arkansas City, Kan.; Patty and husband John Van Etten, Winfield, Kan., and Jeri and husband David Carson, Wichita, Kan.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded by her husband, parents and an infant sister.
    The service was Saturday, Jan. 23, at Grandview United Methodist Church, Winfield, Kan. Interment was at Floral Cemetery, Floral, Kan.
