Earl F. Nolte, 89, of Nebraska City passed away at his home March 29, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.  
Earl was born July 27, 1927, to Venon and Sarah (Scott) Nolte in Walton.  Earl is survived by his wife Mona of 66 years; children, Cheryl (Ken) Henry of Omaha; Connie Arends of Lincoln; Rick (Renee) Nolte of Nehawka; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Visitations were to be 1 to 8 p.m. with the family present from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 31, at Marshall Funeral Chapel, 1109 1st Corso, Nebraska City.  Funeral service 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1, at First Lutheran Church, 1434 N. 30th Rd (Hwy 50) rural Avoca.  Burial was to be at 2:30 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, 162nd St. and Old Cheney Rd., rural Walton.
