Lee Delbert H. Witt, 76, of Syracuse, died at the Good Samaritan Center on Aug. 24, 2010. He was born March 4, 1934 in Syracuse to Albert D. and Minnie (Brummer) Witt. He married his wife, Colleen, on Aug. 18, 1954 at Lutheran Memorial Church in Syracuse.

    He is survived by his wife, Colleen, of Syracuse; daughters Colette A. Bradley and Lee of Poway, Calif., Lee Ann Zeiger and husband Fred of Wilber, Brenda and Jim Kuper of Lincoln; 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and brother Arlan and wife Jeanie Witt of Texas.

    He was a heavy equipment operator for Otoe County for 26 years, a farmer for seven years, and operated Witt Mobile Grinding for six years. He was a member of Otoe County Fraternal Order of Eagles #968 N.C. He enjoyed music, especially Lawrence Welk, and barbershop shows. In his free time he would be fishing and dancing. He also enjoyed visiting and making new friends.

    Funeral service is Saturday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m. at United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Dawson officiating.

    Visitation is Thursday, Aug. 26, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. and Friday, Aug. 27, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at the tuneral home.

    Pallbearers are Paul Zeiger, Lucas Zeiger, John Zeiger, Cliff Zeiger, Matt Zeiger, Ty Kuper and Chaz Kuper. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Zeiger, Amelia Zeiger, Ben Zeiger, Abe Zeiger, Nicole Vera and Austin Bradley.

    Burial will be at Park Hill Cemetery.
