The Nebraska State wrestling championships got underway Thursday morning.

Results from First Round action for Nebraska City and Syracuse-Dunbar-Avoca wrestlers follows:

First Round, Class B

112-Dylan Betts of Nebraska City was winner, 9-1, over Zane Smith of Broken Bow.

130-Blake Kennell was winner by pin over Zakary Moore of Hastings.

First Round, Class C

112-Skyler Teten of Syracuse was winner by pin over Jesse Hays of Southern Valley.

125-Michael Printz of Syracuse lost 17-12 to Eric Bopp of Valentine.

130-John Essink of Syracuse lost 14-7 to Joseph Tickle of Hastings St. Cecilia.

135- Quentin Danner of Syracuse was winner by pin over Alexander Svitak of Wood River.

145-Mitch Goering of Syracuse lost 15-2 to Grant Potadle of Tekamah-Herman.

160-Jacob Hinricksen of Syracuse was winner by pin over Travis Wright of Battle Creek.

171-Nyle Bartling of Syracuse was winner by pin over Nick Lee of Doniphan-Trumbull.

189-Jeremy Dettmer of Syracuse lost 8-6 to Jesse Metzger of Gordon-Rushville.

215- Preston Kellum of Syracuse lost 4-2 to Deryk Wortman of Crofton.

285-Alex Caples was winner by pin over Nathan Hinohosa of Chase County.
