A 20-year-old former Nebraska City man was sentenced Tuesday to 2.5 to five years in prison on two counts of first degree sexual assault involving a 14-year-old Nebraska City girl from November of 2007 to May 31.
In passing the sentence, Judge Randall Rehmeier noted that Charles R. Olson III is not a sexually violent predator.
Otoe County Attorney David Partsch agreed to remain silent at sentencing as part of an October plea agreement. He said a statement from the victim was included in a presentence report ordered by the judge. Prosecutors earlier said that Olson also had a relationship with a 13-year-old girl.
