Trial set for Syracuse murder

Ronald Gene Smith, 44, of Syracuse stood mute in Otoe County District Court Tuesday where he faces charges of the second degree murder of Terri Harris of Syracuse on Dec. 23, forgery and theft.
District Judge Randall Rehmeier entered not guilty pleas on Smith’s behalf. Trial is scheduled July 6.
