Community Members from Lincoln to Tecumseh paid respect to 41 Vietnam Veterans as they rode by bus from Lincoln to the town square and Montz Motorcycle Museum in Tecumseh June 30.  They were escorted by approximately 200 motorcycles.
All along the way at each town and even in the fields people stopped to salute or place a hand over their hearts in honor of those veterans.  People waited at each town along the route including Unadilla, Syracuse, Cook, and others for the chance to show their thanks for the sacrifices of those who served.
Riders from all over Nebraska came to escort the bus.  They represented groups like American Legion Riders Post 3- Lincoln NE, Zodiac’s Lincoln, Iron Order Nation, Belly Button Riders, and others.
Upon arrival in Tecumseh, they were greeted with patriotic music and almost 500 flags raised around the courthouse.  Veterans shared their experiences and their thanks to all those who showed their support.
Nebraska Riders posted, “Thank you to all our sponsors and private donors for your support and helping to make this event possible.  Tecumseh, we can’t thank you enough for the amazing welcome the whole town gave our Veterans and Escorts.  We truly picked the right town to honor our veterans in.  The flags were amazing; thank you and all your volunteers for putting them all out for our Veterans.  It was truly amazing!”
