The Syracuse Tannenbaum tree went up downtown Nov. 27.  Elementary students, who had made ornaments in their classrooms, brought down their ornaments Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 to decorate for the weekend’s Tannenbaum Celebration. Syracuse Utilities workers were there with the bucket truck to place some of them high up in the tree.  Some children spent time picking out the perfect spot, some threw it on the first branch they saw and enjoyed watching everyone else, some waited patiently to watch their special ornament go up up up in the bucket. City staff, children, and teachers all had fun participating in the annual tradition.
