For the 22nd year in a row, the Missoula Children’s Theatre came to Nebraska City August 5 thanks to the Nebraska City Fine Arts Committee and the Nelson Family Foundation.  48 local children participated in the program.
The school aged kids auditioned Monday morning and rehearsed every day up until the two Saturday performances.
Parents and friends enjoyed watching a great performance of “Treasure Island” with characters Jim Hawkins, Mother Hawkins, the Hawkins sisters, pirates, ruffians, villagers, and seagulls.
Four Syracuse students participated in the program.  Anden Werner played “Cap’n Patches,” and Hannah Knox played another pirate, “Goldie the Hun.”  Brylar Werner and Haleigh Werner were both villagers.
