A driver and passenger of a 1997 Dodge Intrepid were transported to Syracuse Community Memorial Hospital following an accident in downtown Syracuse around 2:20 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
The Intrepid, driven by Charles Boyes, 92, of Syracuse, was west bound on the 200 block of 5th Street in front of Terry’s Family Foods when it collided with an unoccupied 2016 Lexus four-dour sedan owned by Al WIsdon of Elkhorn.
After colliding with the Lexus, the Intrepid crossed over to the other side of the street where it hit a flower pot owned by Panko-Rahe Law before then colliding with and knocking over a street light.
Boyce and his wife, the passenger in the car, were transported by ambulance from the scene but injuries were not thought to be severe.
